In relation with the late start of the game in Begamo necessary to fulfill a request of the match director relative to the game kit of Udinese, in order to avoid any speculation on the work of the club and its staff, specificates that: Udinese, as the rules say, sent at the beginning of the week to the Lega Calcio, and through the Lega to the Can, the configuration of its game kit for the match in Bergamo, in particular of the blackandwhite jersey with white shorts and socks. Once received the OK of the Lega and Can, the team left with the authorized technical material. The referee, though, at the personal revision of the kit found appropriate to ask Udinese to modify it in the back part by adding some white adhesive stripes for covering the black vertical stripes. Atalanta offered to change their game kit but the referee preferred te modification of the blackandwhite one. Udinese Calcio, with the spirit of collaboration made everything in their possibilities to satify yhe requests of the referee, realizing the requested modification.
For this reasons the delay and the undoubted singularity of the case aren't in any way to be considered a responsibility of the club that in the configuration of its game kit respected the authorization received from the competent offices. Nothing would have prevented, if necessary, the use of a different kit in case such a request would have been advanced from the Lega.
