The Udinese Calcio family has lost one of his old glories: Giovanni Perissinotto has passed away at age 91 (he would have been 92 in the 5th of February), he came from Fossalta di piave in Veneto. He played as an outside mildfielder (and in some matches also also as center forward mildfielder) he had both speed and skill but, before joining Udinese in 1949, he was unsure about having the qualities that would allow him to shine during the championship.

In addittion to his technical and athletic abilities he is also remembered for having been the first Udinese striker in A league during the match against Milan in San Siro the 10th september 1950. It was the Udinese debut in the maximum championship and Milan won 6-2. After the first goals by Liedholm and Annovazzi udinese managed to close the gap thanks to Perissinotto.

The Udinese society, of which Giuseppe Bertoli was president, acquired him in july 1949 alongside Delle Vacche and he was one of the lead figures in the promotion to A league of Udinese. During that season he participated in 31 matches and scored 7 goals. At the end of the championship he was requested by Inter but Udinese refused the proposal. The year after Perissinoto improoved even more turning into one of the finest italian outside midfielder (10 goals in 33 matches) to the point that Roma acquired him in exchange for the forward Bacci, the midfielder Spartano and an adjustement of about ten millions. He remained in Roma for 3 season from 1951 to 1953-54 (61 matches and 15 goals) and then returned to Udine to be part of the leggendary team that in 1954-55 conquered the second place in the league. During that championship Perissinotto, 30 year old by then, partecipated to 15 matches scoring one goal (7 november 1954 during Udinese-Spal 3-0). He was left to Piacenza in C league and came back to Udinese in 1956-57 (only one match) after which he ended his carrier as a footballer to start a new one as a trainer. Udiense was always in his hearth and in september 1996 he was at Tarcento for the centenary of the club.
