At the eve of the second consecutive away game, this time in Florence, the "bianconero" trainer Gigi Delneri analyses the team's moment.
Here's his words:

The home team is wounded. What will be challenging?
"All games have their challenges but on the field one must have a clear mind. Tuesday's result must not make us underestimate Fiorenina's potential. We must do our best, carefully and with the idea of making dood football. They have important players who can make the difference. They have everything and more".

What's your opinion on Chiesa' What have you talked about with Ventura
"Chiesa is a lot like his father, who I have trained when he was a young player in Teramo. He's got good qualities. Has a good fast kick and has given Fiorentina a good boost with enthusiasm. About Ventura? He has seen that we are an important club with a future. He complimented me for our work on the championship. He was surprised to see the statium improved in all of its sectors which makes him believe in a even better future for Udinese.
It's a hard but positive work and we're happy to do it.

You wll have to play in a different way compared to what we have seen in Verona?
"We want to repeat the performance shown with Milan not the one in Verona. You must always start from the positive things. We are not the ones who determine the matches, but a number of factors, especially your opponent which can be stronger, skilled or motivated. When we go to judge a game, we have to estimate that it doesn't depend only on us. Tomorrow we face a quality team and we must keep that in mind. In football there is always a reason: in football either you wait or you set up. If you play against lower ranked teams then you should set up, but maybe they are waiting and they beat you like we beat higher ranked teams. Again, in football standings there is never a "why not", but always a reason. we prefer the restart than the setting. Fofana? I know it's not a robot, as well as Thereau, but the team has now found its casing and I struggle to change things."

Fiorentina has a very offensive play style. Are you confident or worried?
"They are a highly offensive team. This Tuesday they have played with a play-maker and fast players. We must give them a hard time in their dribble and take advantage of what we can get from them in defense. We must make the understand that we're here too and avoid making their defense too relaxed. We have managed to do this in many fields, even difficult ones like Juventus.
Badu's return has given us new solutions. The we have interesting younsters like Balic and Evangelista who can be a good help, especially during the game. There is a place for everyone due to this closed market. Widmer? He had very poor luck this year as far as accidents are concerned. However he has great willpower, low side foot with quality rush and push, exatly what we want drom a modern side difender. We must always have positivity, trust and credibility in what we do".

How's Badu?
"Well. The trip Africa has done wonders for him. The closed market has an important role from this point of view. I saw him sprightly, purposeful. For us it is an important presence in the field and in the locker room. Udinese has not won there since 2007? I won't bet on it (laughs). There are complicated fields, such as Genoa, for example. Franchi always has been one mostly for the quality of the team. We won the first time that I went in A league. I think that, whatever the outcome, we should go with the shirt sweaty and awareness thet we have done our best "

The quiet standings can negatively affect motivation?
"The manager's role has not changed over time. The relationship with the players, but the coach has always been, is and will be some kind of psychologist. But, beyond the rankings, you should consider that the players always play to win and give their best; they have a duty. Say what you want about Chievo, but the character and legs that kids have brought on the field, with competitive spirit and intensity are out of discussion. Just look at the number of ammonites. Our priority is to go get who's ahead. "
