Also the Bianconeri's world was at Vinitaly to represent the Friulian excellence as guest of ERSA, which is the sponsor of Udinese Calcio together with the brand AQUA. In the exhibition, which is held in Verona, took part the director of football Nereo Bonato and the midfielders Emil Hallfredsson and Sven Kums. They were welcomed by the President of the Region Debora Serracchiani and the Vicepresident Sergio Bolzonello in the pavilion devoted to Friuli Venezia Giulia's products.

It is not the first time that Emil Hallfredsson participated in this wine exhibition, given the many years he spent in Verona playng in the Hellas football team: "I have been to Vinitaly also in the past few years, I very much like this kind of event. I love wine and I always meet a lot of nice people here. My favourite Friulian wine? I have to say that I haven't found one in particular, yet. I need to get more familiar with them. Today, though, is the perfect occasion to open negotiations with somebody, in order to bring Friulian wine to Iceland. As regards football, we are doing really well. We have reached 40 points and now we need to do our best to get a better position in the league. In Naples we are going to need a performance that has to be sparkling as wine".

The same goes for the director of football Nereo Bonato, who was born in Veneto: "I have a home field vantage here because I'm from Verona and I've been to Vinitaly before. Wine and football are two Italian and Friulian excellences. Udinese and Friulian wine are two great strenghts that we have to promote as best we can. I was very impressed by the white wine but I also appreciated Refosco and Schioppettino. Friuli could actually play its cards in this field. We are attending the aims of this new cycle, in football it's not easy to achieve the goals which were established on paper. We have a good group and many players have been enhanced, from now on our aim is to improve our position in the league. Next away game is prohibitive but everyone of us is willing to surprise. These are the matches we like to play and live, we hope we will be able to give our supporters other occasions to celebrate. To start a cycle having a strong group is fundamental. At first we worked very hard on this but now everyone thinks in terms of "We" and not "I". This is fundamental for a provincial team like ours. I believe that we will be able to fulfil some of our goals".
