Tolgay Arslan was a guest on Udinese Tonight on Monday evening. Find out what he had to say.

“I’m so pleased about the win on Saturday. We picked up three crucial points. Every game is tough. We played particularly well in the first ten to 15 minutes and fully deserved the victory.

“I’m more of a playmaker now near Walace and that allows me to be more at the heart of the play. I’ve been playing consistently in the same position for the last six or seven games. The team’s success is very important to me and we all have to push as much as we can in our upcoming matches.

“[Gabriele] Cioffi is doing a great job. He has clear ideas and tries to get them across to us. It’s easy for us because we know what we need to do on the pitch and when we’re compact, it makes it easier to break.

“With [Roberto] Pereyra and [Gerard] Deulofeu, we all speak the same footballing language and have the same ideas. When we play together, we don’t need to say much as the ball does the talking for us. I’m thrilled to be playing with them at Udinese.

“Every match is different and difficult. It’s always easy to speak with hindsight. Cioffi is doing a great job and gets the timing right. We didn’t produce a great display against Torino, but we got the win in the end and that’s what matters. We played really well against Sampdoria.

“Tucu isn’t just a fantastic player, but also a fantastic character. He’s a top guy with a strong mentality, which is important for us. We have to many games ahead of us. It’s great to have him back.

“Our next game is at home to Roma, so we have to be focused. We want to turn in a top display and pick up points.”
