“I feel we did very well today,” explained Bram Nuytinck after the 2-1 reversal at the hands of Bayer Leverkusen on Thursday.
“It was tough out there because they’re a very good side. It was a shame to concede those two goals which were down to mistakes.
Nuytinck played 80 minutes of the friendly, describing the team performance as “good. We also got to involve some of the new players and they did well in the second half.
“I’m pleased that Marco [Silvestri] is back. It was his first game back from injury and he did really well. [Adam] Masina and I got to play together.
“Training is very tough but that’s always how it is. That’s normal in pre-season. We’re working hard with [Andrea] Sottil, who knows what he wants and the players are following him.”
