Before Benevento v Udinese on Sunday, Udinese technical director Pierpaolo Marino spoke to DAZN.
He said: “We finished 12th last season, which is not so bad. There are only a few games left and there’s a large points cushion. We're looking over our shoulders but we're also looking ahead because 10th and 9th place aren't that far away, but clearly we'll take stock at the end of the campaign. I think our goal difference is good and better than that of some of the teams ahead of us. It demonstrates the balance of a team and this means that on average we're conceding fewer goals than others. As for me going to Fiorentina, there's no point talking about topics like this before this sort of game. I've lived in Udine for over 20 years and I'm a resident there. I don't know the owners of Fiorentina in any way, so I don't know what to say about these unfounded rumours.”
