Rodrigo De Paul heaped praise on his team-mates after they beat Benevento 4-2 away on Sunday afternoon to move further away from the relegation zone.
“We deserved this win,” began De Paul, speaking to DAZN after the game. “We’re having a good season despite having been bottom after the first six games. We’ve done a lot better in the second half of the season, despite suffering some big injuries – this group fights together. I’m not happy that we conceded two today but we’re still satisfied with the result.”
De Paul also went on to speak about his understanding with Roberto Pereyra.
“As I always say, we know what we’re going to do without having to look at each other,” he said. “I’m also really pleased for [Nahuel] Molina. He’s had a tough couple of weeks and I tried to make him realise that that’s normal in Serie A. He’s a very important player for us and a great person too, so when good things happen to people like him, everybody is happy.”
