Following his side’s draw at home to Juventus, Udinese coach Luca Gotti had this to say to Udinese TV: “I was happy with the first-half performance – we conceded early but we held our own out there, showing character. We played well for a good part of the first period but when it was 2-0 we risked losing our structure because that's when you want to go forward and they're very good at exploiting space. Then in the second half there was the moment that changed the game, which I think was also exciting for the fans. I'm happy that so many people were able to enjoy the spectacle and that in the end we were rewarded for the attitude on show. As regards Gerard Deulofeu, we know he can be an added value for us and we were already expecting that from him last year but he was held back by fitness issues. He doesn’t have much game time in his legs yet, but you can see how brilliant he is, although credit for the goal should be shared with [Stefano] Okaka, who showed the same belief Gerard did. On Roberto Pereyra, the fact that he can play different roles at different times and that I can choose when to move him is very important. Then the other additions have also made a positive impact, if only from the point of view of freshness. This has helped the team a lot. [Destiny] Udogie played well. I chose the substitutions based on who I wanted to play at that moment but from my point of view he produced a more than adequate performance.”
