Jean-Victor Makengo believes Udinese produced a good performance against Roma on Thursday night despite Luca Gotti’s side slipping to a 1-0 defeat at the Stadio Olimpico.
“We were unlucky today because we played well,” he said. “I’m really disappointed that we’ve lost the game. Personally I think I produced a good performance. I can and must continue to improve, but I’m satisfied. Now we need to prepare well for our next game, which will be very difficult. We want to get points in front of our fans.”
Makengo was also asked about his compatriot Brandon Soppy, who excelled after coming off the bench in Rome.
“He’s a very good young player,” said Makengo. “I’m sure he’ll continue to get better.”
