Pierpaolo Marino, Udinese’s sporting director, spoke to Sky ahead of the Monday night clash with Napoli.
“We’d like to try to exploit the fact that we’ve been a surprise package and weren’t predicted to do this well, but we’re a team that doesn’t yet know its limit, for good or for bad.
“I’ve seen the way the squad has trained at a high tempo during the week and I’ve seen how Gotti has prepared very well for this game. We hope not to disappoint anyone.
“As for [Rodrigo] De Paul, it’s true that we’ve lost a great player, but we’ve got [Gerard] Deulofeu back now and I’m sure he can make a big contribution.
“We haven’t seen much from him, which of course is purely down to the injury problems that he’s had. You all know him and that he’s a player who could be considered a luxury for us. He’s got the quality to play for a top club. He still has plenty of room for improvement and can contribute to the team with goals and assists like De Paul.
“[Lazar] Samardzic won’t disappoint because he has qualities that others don’t have. He also showed his character in the last game. We’ll keep hold of him for as long as possible.”
