Udinese technical director Pierpaolo Marino has mapped out the club's plans for the summer transfer window in an interview with Udinese TV.

"We've been working to build a strong Udinese squad with the aim of improving on the last two seasons,” he began. “It's going to be a difficult market this year with little movement but we already have very clear ideas: we know which areas of the team we want to strengthen and we're working on potential signings.

“A few more outgoing transfers will be completed over the coming days and it's only natural that some players should move on, especially when they've been here for many years.

“We're looking to bolster the squad in all areas – from defence to attack, bringing in promising youngsters as well as players who can step straight into the team. We'll make use of the full transfer window from now until 31 August.

“[Jayden] Braaf was a good signing in the January window who showed his technical and physical ability. We would have liked to keep him but unfortunately he suffered a serious ACL injury and Manchester City wanted to take care of his recovery. The fee to sign him permanently was very high in the current market and you can't spend that sort of money on an injured player. We remain on excellent terms with the player and with City and could work on further agreements in future.”
