Stefano Okaka shared his thoughts with Udinese TV after scoring the opening goal in Udinese's 4-1 friendly win over Slovene side ND Bilje.
“It was a nice goal and although it was only a friendly it's always nice to score and do well, even in games like this,” the striker admitted.
The 31-year-old struggled with injuries last term but insists he is getting back to his best now.
“I've had a long career but I don't think I've ever had so many injury problems as I did last season. The main thing is you recover and get back to your previous level. I know what I'm capable of and I'll always try to give my all.
“We're training well and preparing well for the year ahead. There's a good atmosphere in the camp because lots of players have stayed and many of them are experienced. We need to make a few quality additions but the club will get the right players in – as they always do. We just have to focus on getting ready for the new season.”
