Following the friendly defeat at the hands of Lens, Samir gave his thoughts to Udinese TV.
“We’re disappointed about the goals that we’ve conceded. We have to take stock as a team, while knowing that we’re behind the teams that we’ve come up against so far in terms of our preparations.
“We have to be intelligent enough to assess these two games, take the positives and correct our mistakes, with the help of the coach and his coaching staff. There’s plenty to work on and put right. We’ll carry on with our preparations ahead of a long season.
“I’m pleased with my goal. We’ll gradually all get up to speed as a squad. The next two weeks are key as we build up to the start of the new season.”
