A joint event between Udinese and Dacia was held on Thursday morning to unveil the club’s new Macron away kit and the new Dacia brand identity. Gerard Deulofeu, Bram Nuytinck and Nacho Pussetto were all in attendance as first-team representatives and they discussed how they feel about the upcoming 2021/22 season.

First on the microphone was Deulofeu who said he is raring to go:
“From a personal point of view, it was a shame for me that I couldn’t help the team more last season because of my injury. I’m fit now, I’ve rested and I’m raring to get out there again to fight and win games with Udinese. I’d love to see Dacia Arena filled with fans. I’ve basically only seen it empty.”

Nuytinck can’t wait for his fifth season at the club to get under way.
“We’ve improved so much over the last year and I want to improve even more in this team under the coach at this wonderful club. I can’t wait to get started again. We’re all buzzing for the new campaign.”

Plenty is expected of Pussetto when he returns from injury, which the Argentine mentioned.
“Six months have passed and I can’t wait to get back out on to the pitch. I’ve worked so hard during this time and now want to be back working with my team-mates. They’ve almost all come back and we can’t wait for our training camp and the new season to begin.
"Serie A is a tough division and we must do everything possible to take Udinese as far as we can. Last year was unusual. I arrived after the campaign had already begun, but next season should be normal and we hope to see the fans at our home ground from the start.
"I certainly won’t miss the Copa America final. I’m pleased for my team-mates who are part of the Argentina national team. My dream is to get called up myself, so I’ll give my best to try to get to play for my country.”

Coach Luca Gotti was also present at the event and spoke about the club’s pre-season preparations.
“We’re about to get started and we’re doing so gradually. A good percentage of the squad came back yesterday. Others will get back on Monday and the squad will be finalised by 31 August. We have three guys here who had a tough year in terms of injuries. Playing and being fit are key for us. Here you have three players who can’t wait to get out on the pitch on Monday to try to put that chapter of their recent pasts to bed.”
