Summer signing Destiny Udogie talked to Udinese TV about how he's settling in at the club after producing another positive display in Saturday's 1-0 friendly win against Empoli.

The 18-year-old only joined a few weeks ago but has already earned plaudits with his rampaging runs down the wing – and it was his cross that forced the decisive own goal against Empoli.

“I'm here to do the best I can and to give 100% every day. The boss told me to play my game and enjoy it, to push forward and be careful when we have to defend. I'm at a big club now so I have to stay switched on all the time.

“This is a very close-knit group – that's immediately clear. They've welcomed me in and the staff are always there to help you. I couldn't ask for more.”

The versatile wide man was also asked about his favourite position before looking ahead to the impending Coppa Italia clash against Ascoli.

“I prefer playing higher up the flank. I like getting forward so that's where I'm happy.

“I think we're nearly ready for Ascoli. The friendlies have been good for building up fitness
and honing our understanding. We're almost there now.”
