On Sunday, Udinese will face Napoli for the 87th time in Serie A, with a record of 17 wins, 32 draws, and 37 defeats. However, this record is more favourable when only home matches across all competitions are taken into account: 14 wins, 22 draws, and 11 defeats. Their last victory over Napoli dates back to the 2015/16 season, a 3-1 triumph at Bluenergy Stadium, but three of the last five matches between these sides have ended in draws, and the Zebrette have failed to score in only one of their last 13 games against Napoli.

Udinese have won an average of 40.6 duels per game this season, placing them third overall, while Napoli have won just 34.9, ranking them in 14th place. The numbers for balls played into the opponent's penalty area are similar: 19.1 per game for Napoli and 18.6 per game for Udinese, the seventh and ninth highest in the league.

Jakub Piotrowski scored his first Serie A goal against Genoa, while Nicolo Zaniolo could score his 20th on Sunday against Napoli. Sandi Lovric has already scored against Napoli in the past, in the 1-1 draw on 4 May 2023.

In terms of players to have represented both clubs, Alex Meret came through the Udinese youth system, Lorenzo Lucca made 75 appearances and scored 23 goals for Udinese between 2023 and 2025 and Alessandro Zanoli made 22 appearances for Napoli between 2021 and 2024.
