Lega Calcio Serie A reiterates its support for the campaign on the starvation emergency by Save the Children, providing therapeutic food, drinking water and medical treatment to millions of starving children.

On Matchday seven of the Serie A season, scheduled from Friday 16 to Monday 19 October, all Serie A Enilive teams will take to the pitch to support Save the Children by encouraging fans to contribute by donating to the cause. The video of the initiative will be broadcast on the large screens of every stadium, while on television viewers will see the “#EmergenzaFame” graphic right before kick-off. During post-match interviews, the coaches will send a message dedicated to the campaign and will wear the Save the Children pin.

Around the world, nearly half of all deaths of children under the age of five are still due to malnutrition. Malnutrition can also cause irreversible damage to the health of children and stifle their growth in their first years of life. Yet, only one in three receives the nutritional treatment they need, while conflicts, poverty, the climate crisis and aid cuts prevent millions of families from feeding their children.

Making even a small contribution to donate therapeutic food, water and medical treatment to these children is simple: just send an SMS or make a landline call to 45583 to donate €2, €5 or €10. You can also go to the Save the Children Italia website and donate.

The initiative is supported by Lega Calcio Serie A, the Italian Association of Football Coaches and the Serie A Enilive coaches, who have chosen to reiterate their support to this cause. Sky, DAZN and Sportitalia will also support the initiative by broadcasting the ads featuring the coaches.

Donate by calling 45583.
There’s no food, water or time left.
