On Wednesday evening Udinese will take on Parma for the 53rd time in Serie A, and their record currently stands at 19 wins, 11 draws and 22 defeats. The teams’ most recent encounter took place last April, ending in a 1-0 triumph for Parma at Bluenergy Stadium. However, that was the only time that the Zebrette have lost in their last six meetings with the Ducali, a run that includes four wins and one draw, notably a 2-0 victory at the Stadio Tardini last November.
Udinese and Parma are both on four points and will be keen to get a win. Parma lost their last home game 3-0 to Torino and have not suffered back-to-back home defeats in nearly a year. So far, Parma have scored the fewest goals in the league - just five, contributed by only three different players - and they have fallen behind in seven of their eight Serie A matches, with their only victory coming in the one game where they did not concede the first goal.
In tomorrow’s game the final 15 minutes of the first half will be crucial, as in Serie A, Udinese both score and concede more goals during this period than any other team. What’s more, the Zebrette rank second among the twenty Serie A clubs - behind only Lecce - for goals scored from corner kicks (three), and fourth for the average distance from their own goal where their passing sequences begin (43.1 meters), trailing only Roma, Juventus and Inter.
A bright spot for Udinese at the start of this season has been Jurgen Ekkelenkamp, who also shone in 2025/26. The Dutchman has been involved in seven goals in his last six away matches, a record surpassed in Serie A only by Donyell Malen during the same period. Should he find the net against Parma, he would join an exclusive group of Udinese players - Vincenzo Iaquinta, Antonio Di Natale, and Alexis Sanchez - who have scored in four consecutive away games. Nicolo Zaniolo and Keinan Davis both scored against Parma last season, while Hassane Kamara is on the verge of reaching the milestone of 100 Serie A appearances for Udinese.
