Udine 16 May 2023 – Bluenergy Group, a leading company in the supply of electricity, gas and utilities from northern Italy, and Udinese Calcio have renewed their partnership for the seventh consecutive season, furthering their joint commitment towards environmental sustainability and dedication to the local region.

Bluenergy will once again be Udinese’s Back Jersey Sponsor and Energy Partner for the 2023/24 Serie A season. The multi-utility logo will feature prominently on the back of the players' jerseys and Dacia Arena will continue to be supplied with green energy.

Udinese Calcio and Bluenergy started collaborating back in 2018 and have since established a powerful symbiosis in their shared commitment on sustainability issues. This has seen Udinese awarded the title of most sustainable club in Serie A. Since 2020 3,441.44 tonnes of CO2 have been offset through the use of green energy, and the stadium will continue to be powered by electricity from certified renewable sources and carbon offset gas.

Bluenergy will carry on creating initiatives for the Udinese fanbase, including at the club’s last home match of the season against Juventus on 4 June. In light of positive results over the past few seasons, there will be initiatives aimed at all fans in the local area, a dedicated electricity and gas supply and the opportunity to purchase a high-efficiency boiler through an exclusive offer.

“There couldn’t be a greener partnership than the one between Udinese and Bluenergy,” commented Udinese Calcio Managing Director Franco Collavino. “It began with a mission: to make football more sustainable. We are achieving this through a policy which has sets our club apart on the international stage. Dacia Arena is at the heart of our plans for environmental sustainability and has been since day one thanks to help of Bluenergy, who share this vision and supply us with energy from renewable sources. We are proud to continue together for the seventh year running – a clear sign of the profound values we are united by, such as eco-sustainability and commitment to the local area.”

“The collaboration with Udinese Calcio began with the shared objective of implementing sustainable initiatives and actions aimed at benefitting the environment and the local area,” declared Alberta Gervasio - CEO of Bluenergy Group. “Dacia Arena isn’t just one of the flagship stadiums in Italian and European football; for us it’s a place to come together, enjoy sport and be entertained. Being an active part in the energy efficiency process by minimising the environmental impact makes us proud of the work Bluenergy have put in place over all these years. In addition to our work with the stadium we have a fan-focused approach. They’re the true soul of the team and we love to involve them with new initiatives, some of which are already scheduled for the last league match of the 2022/23 season which will be played at Dacia Arena.”
