On matchday 24 of the 2025/26 Serie A Enilive season, scheduled from 6 to 9 February, Lega Calcio Serie A will be endorsing the “Ferma il gelo” (Stop the Cold) campaign, launched by the United Nations Refugee Agency – UNHCR. Its goal is to raise funds to provide aid throughout the winter season to millions of refugees and displaced persons.

A devastating winter, with humanitarian assistance down to the bare minimum. This is the difficult situation that millions of refugees and displaced persons have to face today in countries such as Ukraine, Afghanistan and Syria.
The support of each one of us is now more important than ever before, owing to the drastic reduction in humanitarian aid funds. Resources are desperately needed to repair shelled homes, insulate homes, provide stoves, blankets, medicines and warm food, especially for children and the elderly.
Without new funds, the UNHCR’s ability to guarantee vital aid will be severely undermined, with direct consequences on thousands of lives. The most vulnerable families need help, now more than ever.
The funds raised by the UNHCR will help provide life-saving aid, such as blankets, winter clothing, stoves, thermal insulation kits and support in repairing damaged homes to millions of refugees and displaced persons in seven different countries, including Afghanistan, Syria and Ukraine.
Once again, two stars of Italian football have chosen to support the UNHCR, namely Demetrio Albertini and Giuseppe Bergomi, along with Juventus midfielder Khephren Thuram and Marseille player Timothy Weah.
