Martin Jorgensen is today celebrating his 46th birthday.

The former forward was born on 6 October 1975 in Orsted, Denmark.

Jorgensen joined Udinese from AGF in 1997 and would remain with the club for seven seasons, before moving on to Fiorentina in 2004.

In total, the Dane played 184 times for Udinese in the league, scoring 30 goals. There were also 16 appearances and two goals in the Coppa Italia, plus a further 16 appearances in Europe.

Danilo, Roberto Sensini and Felipe are the only foreign players to have made more appearances for Udinese than Jorgensen.

It was during his time with Udinese that Jorgensen got his first call-up to the Denmark national team. This was the start of a 13-year international career, which saw him win 102 caps and score 12 goals for his nation.

Jorgensen returned home to Denmark and AGF in 2010, where he made another 101 league appearances – adding to the 82 he had made before joining Udinese – before hanging up his boots in 2014.

Everyone at Udinese would like to wish Martin a very happy birthday.
