Pierpaolo Marino paid tribute to Loris Dominissini at the funeral of the former Udinese player and coach at Udine cathedral on Thursday morning.
“Loris did a bit of everything at Udinese,” Marino recalled. “I remember him as an academy coach during my first spell at the club towards the end of the 90s. He was a wonderful person and a great coach. It was always a pleasure talking to him. We remained in touch when he went on to enjoy success at Como.
“We were aware of his illness but it wasn't something we expected and we're all saddened by his death. On behalf of the club, the Pozzo family, the team and all the staff, I would like to send our heartfelt condolences to his family.”
