Udinese’s stadium was chosen as a case study of a sustainable and cutting-edge facility, capable of paving the way for future stadium construction and renovations in Italy and Europe. Also speaking at the event were Emilio Faroldi and Davide Allegri, Director and Deputy Director of the Master's Programme, Michele Uva, UEFA Executive Director for Sustainability, Maurizio Teora, Arup University Director for Europe, and Silvia Prandelli, Senior Principal in Populous' Milan office.
"Bluenergy Stadium has reaffirmed its position as a true model for modern and sustainable stadiums," declared Administrative Director Alberto Rigotto. "The high level of interest in our stadium, including at academic level, is a great recognition. The work we’re carrying out with Bluenergy on our stadium, which has allowed us to make it one of the greenest in Italy and to launch important projects such as the solar park and the energy community, is essential to us achieving the goals we’ve set ourselves and to always remain ahead of the game with our stadium."
