Udinese showcased its commitment to sustainability in London. On 7 October, the club was one of the protagonists of the Sport Positive Summit, an event that every year brings together hundreds of clubs, leagues, federations, athletes, experts and politicians to discuss sustainability, the climate, the environment and social justice and draw up a tangible action plan for sport to be more sustainable.

Udinese Calcio’s Social and Environmental Sustainability Officer, Piera Abramo, participated in the panel titled “From Knowledge to Impact: Environmental Education and Engagement That Drives Action,” dedicated to the actions that sporting organisations take internally and within the community they operate in to educate people on the environment and encourage them to safeguard it. She was joined by Ulster GAA’s Sporting Nature Project Officer, Tim McCann, Paralympic table tennis player Martin Perry and World Sailing’s Director of Sustainability Alexandra Rickham.

Abramo talked about Udinese Calcio’s project on sustainable diets – one of the various actions taken by the club to safeguard the environment – and focused on sustainable diets, saving resources, fighting waste and environmental education.
