Udine, 21 November 2025 - Udinese Calcio and Babson College, one of the United States’ most prestigious universities, which has recently been named by the Wall Street Journal as the second best US university in terms of overall quality and a world leader in entrepreneurial training, are laying the foundations for a strategic collaboration based on the exchange of expertise and enhancing their respective sporting and educational models.
From Udinese’s perspective, the initiative is about sharing the best practices at the basis of the club’s business approach – sustainability, innovation, sporting management and talent development – while also exploring new opportunities to expand the Udinese Academies into the United States, for example by also including tournaments and activities hosted at Babson College’s sports facilities, thus increasing the club’s international presence.
For Babson College, this is an opportunity to examine the experiences of a Serie A club that is famous for its innovative and sustainable methods, and to explore educational, experience-based programmes in sports management, innovation and sustainability. This first dialogue marks the beginning of a shared journey aimed at developing new academic and sporting projects between Europe and the United States.
“We are proud to start this journey with such an important institution like Babson,” Magda Pozzo said. “Our model has always been based on innovation and an international vision, and building a bridge with the United States through Babson offers exciting opportunities for both the club and the academic world.”
“This is an exciting moment for Babson Athletics as well as a unique opportunity to work together with an outstanding organisation like Udinese Calcio,” said Mike Lynch, Head of Athletics at Babson College. “We share many values and look forward to learning ‘the Udinese style’ directly from the club and continuing our exploration together.”
