
Italian football is in mourning today following the death of Tarcisio Burgnich.
The legendary former Udinese, Juventus, Palermo, Inter and Napoli defender, who was born in Ruda, near Udine on 25 April 1939, passed away in Versilia (Tuscany) at the age of 82.
The right-back started out at Udinese, making eight Serie A appearances for the club between 1958 and 1960.
He went on to become a pillar of the Grande Inter side as well as the Italy team, winning back-to-back European Cups with the Nerazzurri and the 1968 European Championship with the Azzurri.
