Assist from Alexis Sanchez and goal by Toto Di Natale. Something Udinese fans had already seen before and would see many times again throughout the 2010/11 Serie A season. But 5 February 2011 was a special occasion: the ball played by Sanchez to Di Natale against Sampdoria turned into Toto’s 100th Serie A goal for Udinese. It was a historic achievement.
Udinese would then go on to win that match 2-0, finishing fourth in that memorable season and qualifying for the Champions League. Di Natale went on to score 12 more goals that season and became the season’s top scorer for the second consecutive year with 28 goals. He reached a total of 191 Serie A goals for Udinese and retired in 2016.
