A trio of young defenders were given their senior debuts by Andrea Sottil in the final game of the season against Juventus. This is what Axel Guessand, James Abankwah and Nicolo Cocetta had to say after the game:
Guessand: “I'm thrilled about my debut and I'm pleased with my performance and the team's. I don't think about who I'm up against; I just focus on my game and then see afterwards. I feel ready for Serie A and for Udinese. Now that the match is over I can enjoy the moment.”
Abankwah: “I'm very happy to have made my full Serie A debut. I want to thank the gaffer and all my team-mates. It was a difficult game against a good team. I was very tired and Ielt cramp but I just tried to do my best."
Cocetta: “I'm delighted. First and foremost I want to thank the coach, all the staff and the players who have helped me and given me advice. I've been at this club 13 years and I couldn't wait to make my senior debut. It's an incredible feeling. I'll always give 100% for this club. I want to play my part next season. Today gives me massive motivation to keep going.”
