Beto: "Our mentality was excellent"

The Portuguese was on target in the 3-1 success over Milan

Beto admitted he was relieved to score a big goal for Udinese having played his part in Milan's equaliser moments earlier on Saturday.

The Portuguese struck deep in first-half stoppage time to restore Udinese's advantage following Zlatan Ibrahimovic's penalty leveller – which had to be retaken due to encroachment when Marco Silvestri saved the first.

“I'm happy because I scored at a crucial time,” the 25-year-old said. “The penalty retake was my fault because I entered the area but I made up for it with a goal. I'm delighted that we've finally managed to win at home again with our fans.

“We played really well and our mentality was excellent. We didn't let them have many chances. This is the real Udinese. In our last few games we've shown how hungry we are to win and do better.
