Udinese Calcio is proud to announce that it has signed David Alaba, one of the most successful and prestigious players in international football.

Alaba has outstanding technical and leadership skills, as well as tactical versatility. He has now joined Udinese after an outstanding international career playing for the best clubs in the world.
Born in Vienna on 24 June 1992, Alaba rose through the ranks of Austria Vienna. At 16, he was signed by Bayern Munich, where he would go on to become one of the very best players in his position and win a number of domestic league titles, trophies and European competitions.
Throughout his career, he has played for top clubs and has stood out for his performance levels, professionalism and continuity. At Bayern Munich he collected dozens of trophies – two Champions League titles, two FIFA Club World Cups, two European Super Cups, 10 Bundesliga league titles, two German Cups and five German Super Cups – and was instrumental in securing those titles. He made a total of 431 appearances for Bayern Munich, scoring 33 goals between 2010 and 2021.
After that, from 2021 to 2026, he also delivered at Real Madrid, where he continued to win domestic and international league titles, including two Champions League titles, one FIFA Club World Cup, one European Super Cup, two La Liga titles, one Copa del Rey and two Spanish Super Cups.
He has been the captain and symbol of the Austrian national team for over a decade, with 117 appearances, 15 goals, having represented his country in two European Championships and in the last World Cup. Therefore, Alaba is bringing with him to Udinese experience, personality and a winning mentality, on one of the most prestigious football stages in the world.

Here is what David Alaba had to say as a new Udinese player: “I’ve experienced many things and I’ve won a lot throughout my career, but there’s one thing that has never changed: I want to keep winning. I want to continue competing. And I still want to accomplish something special. This is the mentality I’m bringing to Udinese.
“The coach has been very clear about what kind of position he has in mind for me and what he wants us to accomplish together. Of course, I want to offer my experience to the rest of the squad, take on responsibility and help my team-mates whenever I can, especially the youngest ones. I’m not here just to be the veteran in the team, and I’m definitely not here to end my career. I am still too ambitious to do that and I still firmly believe that I have a lot to offer on the pitch. I want to keep pushing, perform at the highest levels in Serie A week after week and achieve something.
