Following the presentation of the 2026/27 Serie A fixtures held in Parma on Friday, Udinese’s Technical Director Gian Luca Nani had this to say about the team’s upcoming Serie A campaign:
“Sooner or later, you have to face all teams. The order you have to follow doesn’t make much of a difference; you have to approach each match with the same spirit. Last year at the start of the season, we were up against Inter and we beat them, and this year we’re going to play against Como, who are the team in best form right now and will prepare for the Champions League over the summer. There’s no point in looking at the fixtures now and worrying about who we have to play against and when. Last season, no one could have ever anticipated Fiorentina battling to avoid the drop and Como sitting so high up in the table. What’s most important for us is to focus on ourselves and be aware of the means at our disposal: it’s an important step that can help us grow.”
