Matteo Palma has received his first senior Italy call-up! The 18-year-old defender will join Nicolo Zaniolo in Coverciano as part of the Azzurri squad that will face Franc and Belgium in the Nations League. This is the first time in six years that Udinese have had two players in the Italy squad at the same time, since Kevin Lasagna and Stefano Okaka in November 2020.
Unai Gomez is also set to be involved in international action, with the Basque Country against Venezuela.
These latest two call-ups means a total of 13 Udinese players will be away on international duty for the next week or so.
