Matteo Palma spoke to the media after Tuesday's cup defeat to Juventus in which he was unfortunately involved in both goals – the first a deflected own goal and the second a penalty.
The young defender showed his maturity by remaining upbeat despite the circumstances.
“I'll take all the positives from tonight,” he began. “I'll analyse the negatives too but I won't let two moments – one unlucky and one naïve – get me down.
“Juventus Stadium is stunning: there were loads of people and a great atmosphere. I'm young and it wasn't easy at the start. It took me a while to get into the game, then slowly I began growing in confidence.
“[Kenan] Yildiz is Juventus's best player and one of the best in Serie A. He played well but I think I defended well too.
“I'll work on cutting down the mistakes and watch the game again. I'll keep giving my all in training and try to get as much game time as possible.”
