Kosta Runjaic spoke to journalists on Friday ahead of Udinese's home match against Inter on Saturday afternoon.
Inter and the reverse fixture
“Inter are the best team in Italy at the moment and we all know about their players and their strengths. We have to work really well as a team. They have great quality and they're in good form. We can surprise them again. We're not going out there to lose but we know we mustn't make mistakes if we want to stand a chance of winning. We'll need to be disciplined and tidy but also bold. If we're not willing to take risks at both ends of the pitch, it's hard to earn points.
“Perhaps you know Woody Allen's 'Play it again, Sam'. Well, we want to try and play it again. We had plenty of energy against Pisa and if everyone plays their part, including our subs, we can do well. There will be lots of Inter fans at our stadium tomorrow, which may be a disadvantage, but the support we get from the Curva Nord is important and it will help us.”
Zaniolo's absence
“We've played against Inter without [Nicolo] Zaniolo before. Signing him has helped us a lot but against the big sides it's the team that matters most: you have to work as a unit. We'll miss Nicolo but we have other players and we'll be able to have our say. We'll be really up for it and fully focused. We'll try to win, although we know it's going to be difficult. Inter aren't unbeatable but lots of things must click into place to get the three points. We need to press the right way, dig in and be better than their individuals.”
Loan moves for Palma and Bravo
“When you buy promising young players you know that sending them out on loan to further their development is a possibility. We've taken that decision with [Matteo] Palma and [Iker] Bravo because they need to play more. They've integrated into the team, gained experience in training and they've improved. There's a lot of competition for places here so we thought about what's best for the future and the best thing for them in the short term is to go out on loan. They'll have the chance to play and to make a step up.”
Attack
“We're a bit short on numbers in attack at the moment but that can happen. We could play with [Arthur] Atta in the hole but he's only just come back and he needs to reach peak condition. In any case, we'll put out a team that's ready. We have several ideas and we'll make the final call between today and tomorrow.”
Kristensen
“Thomas has trained with the team and he's available for selection. He'll be in the squad and you might see him on the pitch too.”
