Kosta Runjaic had the following to say after Udinese defeated Parma 2-0 at the Stadio Tardini:

“I'm very happy. We were better than Parma in the first half. The first half was good but I'm not so happy with the second half. It was a very tough game: a lot of scrapping, lots of long balls and second balls. The condition of the pitch didn't make it easy to play possession football.

“In the second half we could have kept the ball more. We started taking long goal kicks and lost the ball too much. We knew Parma would risk more. We needed to keep the ball, switch sides and attract them, as we work on in training. But it's easy in theory and we had a bit of pressure because we lost the last two games. You could see the team wasn't completely relaxed and in Serie A you need to be alert at all times. One goal can change everything. We defended well against their set plays and long throw-ins.

“[Nicolo] Zanioli's goal wasn't accidental. We prepare certain things. It's about getting into the right position and timing your run, and Nicolo's execution was fantastic. He took advantage of the chance and it was important for us to score the first goal away, especially as playing at Parma is not easy.”
