Kosta Runjaic took questions from the media in the press room in the wake of Udinese's 2-0 victory over Cagliari. This is what he had to say:
ON THE MATCH
“I'm very happy with this win. It was a tough game and we didn't perform at our best. They started at a high tempo trying to make it hard for us and largely succeeded in the first half. In the second half we did better and scored at an important time. We were far from perfect but this is a tough place to come and Cagliari have picked up some good results recently. They're a quality team.
“I'm pleased to get 50 points with this win. We must keep it up and do our very best in the last two matches. Then we'll sit down and analyse the season in detail.”
ON DAVIS INCIDENT
“I haven't spoken to [Keinan] Davis yet. Something happened unfortunately but I don't want to talk about it now because I don't know all the details. I know Davis is a fantastic guy. He's always fair and is a top professional. The scenes at the end of the game were not good to see. It had been a good match for the fans until then. Let's let everyone calm down then we can analyse what happened. I want this afternoon to be remembered for the win, the 50 points and the clean sheet.
ON NEXT SEASON
“I have a year left on my contract and I'm very happy in Udine. We're following a path and we still have a lot of work to do. Every season in Serie A is a battle for a club like ours. We'll play these last two matches and then we'll talk about next season. I don't have any other plans at the moment. I'm sure I'll meet Cagliari again next year.”
