Kosta Runjaic offered the following analysis after Udinese slipped to a 2-0 defeat at Juventus in the last 16 of the Coppa Italia:
“We were lacking something today and that was clear in the first half. We weren't as strong as we should have been. It's always tough here against a great team but I'm not happy.
“We stayed in the game until the penalty, albeit without going close to scoring. Then at 2-0 it was difficult. Juve played well and maintained possession. The decisive factor was the duels we lost meaning we lost the ball quickly.
“[Nicolo] Zaniolo has played a lot recently. I thought about not picking him but I wanted to send out the message that tonight's game was very important and we wanted to reach the next round. He had some good moments. Later I decided to spare him and [Arthur] Atta, who has also played a lot.”
