Kosta Runjaic sat down with the media on Saturday to discuss Udinese's final home game of the season, against Cremonese. Below you can read what he had to say.
On the match
“Our goal is to finish the season well at home against Cremonese. We know they need points. I'm expecting it to be tight and intense. We've reached our target of 50 points but we haven't finished our work. Immediately after Cagliari I said that we had two important games left and tomorrow is the first of those. We'll give our all to win it. We want to produce a good performance and celebrate with our fans.”
On Zaniolo's replacement
“I don't want to reveal our line-up but I won't rule out [Idrissa] Gueye starting. We won't have [Nicolo] Zaniolo and that's a shame but it's also an opportunity for our other forwards. We have various options and they're all ready and keen to play well. [Adam] Buksa scored against Cagliari and so did Gueye. We know what Davis gives us. We'll see tomorrow who plays.”
On Ehizibue's replacement
“I haven't decided who will play on the right flank yet. We've played [Juan] Arizala on the right before, as a substitute, and I think he did well but he's a left-sided player. [Jordan] Zemura has played on the right before too. He's been sidelined for a long time but he's trained well. He's unlikely to start tomorrow but he could come on. [Nicolo] Bertola has played out wide before, on the left, against Napoli and I have confidence in him too. We have several options.”
On Davis
“They're still investigating what happened in Cagliari. Keinan knows we're all on his side. I don't see any reason to doubt what he said. He's trained well and is focused. What happened is in the past now. We'll see how it turns out. He's shown he's up to starting. I'm happy to have him fully fit again.”
On Cremonese's situation
“We'll try to focus on ourselves as always. We know what Cremonese are like: they're an experienced team with the right players to deal with a moment like this. They started the season well, then had a downturn and now they're fighting to stay up. They still have a chance and they'll come here looking for three points but we'll be fighting too. It's an important match for us, symbolically as well. We started the season with a draw at home and now that we're in a good period of form we want to give our fans a nice send-off. There will be a great atmosphere.”
