Andrea Sottil expressed his satisfaction with his team after they produced a sterling performance to hold champions Napoli to a 1-1 draw at Dacia Arena.
“We played really well tonight,” the boss began. “As the coach of this team, I'm happy for my players because I know what they're like. What we need now is to perform like that consistently regardless of who we're up against. It's a very fine line.
“It's not hard to get yourself up for matches like today but I'm always very focused and determined to win against every team. That's the mindset I've been trying to instil here since day one and we've managed it most of the time. Now we must prepare for our remaining games as if they were finals – prepare for them mentally the same way we did this one. I hope to see the stadium full on Monday [against Sampdoria].
“We've shown that at home Udinese a force to be reckoned. Our goal is to finish the season in the top half of the table, to show a sense of belonging and the same mentality and quality of football so that we can keep growing.”
