It was a truly breathtaking ending at Bluenergy Stadium, as a fierce Udinese earned a well-deserved draw against Lazio in the dying seconds of the match, thanks to a goal by Keinan Davis.
Udinese were more proactive and aggressive in the first part of the game, but their opponents were the first ones to get a goal chance, with Tijjani Noslin barely missing the post with a shot from the edge of the box.
A second chance only came around the 30th minute, this time with Nicolo Zaniolo, whose powerful shot just narrowly deflected wide for a corner. In the following minutes Udinese once again went on the attack, first with Nicolo Bertola, who was played up by Davis, with his effort however going high, and then when Zaniolo crossed it to Jurgen Ekkelenkamp, whose header missed the target. Lazio then responded with Noslin toward the end of the first half, but both his shot from outside the box and his subsequent effort from the left flank were intercepted, the first by Jesper Karlstrom and the second by Thomas Kristensen.
The first attempt of the second half came after 10 minutes, when Matias Vecino attempted a long-range shot, which went high. There were no further attempts over the next 20 minutes, despite a few dangerous plays by both teams, until Daichi Kamara won back the ball in a dangerous position and served Davis, whose shot from the edge of the box was however saved by Ivan Provedel.
It was, however, Lazio who took the lead, just 10 minutes from the end of the game, with a shot from outside the box by Vecino, which was deflected into the goal by Oumar Solet.
Udinese immediately responded, with Zaniolo taking a free kick that was saved by Provedel, and then Daniele Padelli keeping the game alive by denying Gustav Isaksen.
Finally, as the match was drawing to a close, Davis scored the equaliser for Udinese with a left-footed shot to the bottom-left corner. With this draw, Udinese now have 22 points and are temporarily ninth in the table alongside Atalanta.
