Udinese and Sassuolo took a point each at the end of their lunchtime contest on Sunday, which ended 2-2 with all four goals coming in the first 45 minutes. The home side took the lead twice, first through Destiny Udogie's early goal and later in the half through Jaka Bijol, but on both occasions the visitors clawed themselves level.

Udogie struck with just 25 seconds on the clock, cutting in from the left hand side before sending a low left-foot shot into the corner. The Neroverdi hit back just five minutes later, however. Matheus Henrique pounced on a loose clearance to fire on goal and his deflected effort wrongfooted Marco Silvestri.

Bijol put the home team back in front just before the half-hour mark. He applied a sliding finish to Lazar Samardzic's perfectly flighted free-kick from the right. Sassuolo then equalised on the stroke of half-time, when Nedim Bajrami's cross from the right was diverted into the net by Nehuén Pérez.

There were chances at both ends in the second period, with Beto, Udogie and Sandi Lovric going closest for Udinese, however neither side could find a winning goal.
