Udinese turned in an excellent performance in the Sunday lunchtime game to beat Inter 3-1 and pick up their fifth win on the bounce, putting them top of the Serie A standings ahead of the rest of the day's fixtures.

The Nerazzurri took an early lead through Nicolo Barella, who curled a pinpoint free kick into the top corner with just five minutes on the clock. Udinese hauled themselves level halfway through the first period, after Roberto Pereyra's corner was diverted into the goal by Milan Skriniar.

Udinese were the more threatening of the two sides and earned a deserved lead with just five minutes to play, when Jaka Bijol headed home powerfully from Gerard Deulofeu's corner. Tolgay Arslan then put the result beyond doubt in stoppage time, capping off a swift counter with a back-post header.
