Udinese and Cremonese will be facing off in Serie A for the 12th time on Sunday, with Udinese having won three, drawn seven and lost one of the 11 previous encounters.
The reverse fixture ended 1-1 in Cremona while the last meeting in Udine saw the home side triumph 3-0 in April 2023. Udinese haven't lost at home to Cremonese for 50 years, the last time being a Serie C game played at the Stadio Moretti in 1975/76.
Last week's win over Cagliari means Udinese have reached a half century of points – their highest tally since 2012/13 – with two games left to play. Kosta Runjaic's side have achieved that milestone by averaging two points per match in their last seven, losing just one of those while keeping five clean sheets. Victory at Bluenergy Stadium on Sunday, after beating Torino and Cagliari, would see them record three wins on the spin for the first time this season.
Idrissa Gueye opened his Serie A account against Cagliari last weekend, while Nicolo Zaniolo notched his first of the season in the reverse fixture against Cremonese.
The assist for Gueye's goal came from Keinan Davis, who has won the third-most duels on the ground in the opposition half this season (43), behind Mateo Pellegrino and Rasmus Hojlund.
Three Cremonese players previously plied their trade for Udinese: Giuseppe Pezzella (2017-2019), Marco Silvestri (2021-2024) and Martin Payero, who joined Udinese in 2023 and is currently on loan at Cremonese.
This will be the second meeting between Runjaic and Marco Giampaolo, following Lecce 0-1 Udinese in February 2025.
