Alessandro Zanoli's voice was tinged with regret as he spoke to the media after Sunday's defeat at Roma.
“I've settled in now and I've started several games but I could have done better today. I made too many mistakes in building moves and that's not like me. I had a few niggles during the week but I decided to play anyway and I take responsibility for that choice.
“We could have got back into the game towards the end – perhaps we should have pushed harder sooner. We were a bit unlucky too but it's done now and we have to look ahead to the next one.
“You can learn from matches like this, against great teams. We have to accept the defeat, even though we could have done better, and focus on the game against Bologna. That's going to be huge.”
