Read what Luca Gotti had to say to Udinese TV ahead of Sunday's Serie A match against Sassuolo at Dacia Arena (15:00 CET).

How important is this game against Sassuolo?

“Every game comes with elements of uncertainty and opportunity. This is one of the 38 games we have this season and it comes in a rather particular moment.”

How did the players react to spending the week together as a team?

"It's always a bit different when you spend the whole week together. It's hard to say because different people react in different ways.”

Have you had to motivate the players differently not having won in recent weeks or are they all fired up to bounce back?

"I'd say the latter. We have to learn from past experiences but with the idea of rebooting and not spending too much time looking back, which is not particularly useful. We have to focus on what we need to do tomorrow.”

With Ignacio Pussetto the only player unavailable, might we see some tactical changes or different players involved?

“Having almost all the players available gives you more alternatives, both in how you start the game and in the possibility to change depending on how the game goes.”

Udinese have always done very well against Sassuolo with you in charge. What sort of game are you expecting tomorrow and how have Sassuolo changed under Alessio Dionisi?

"There are similarities between the ideas of the two coaches but Dionisi has made some changes. They try to build their play differently compared to in previous years but we all know every match is different. Even the ones we played against them in the last two years were different.”

Do you think there will be a lot of tension tomorrow considering that Sassuolo lost their last one too?

“I expect a Serie A game with all the tension that comes with it. We shouldn’t need motivation from what has happened before in order to give our best tomorrow.”
