Ahead of the season opener against Juventus, Udinese coach Luca Gotti spoke to goal.com about starting the campaign well and the pride he feels in leading this historic club. The coach also touched on his past adventures in England and this year's new-look Serie A that welcomes more coaches of the highest calibre.

"I am proud and honoured to be at the helm of this prestigious club for another season. Last season we had a terrible start and a terrible finish, which left a real bitter taste for us. But for a long part of the season in between we did well. Now, the desire for everyone is to try to improve. Doing better is not just about the number of points you get in the league. It's about improving your game, your style of play and many other things.
We want to achieve all our goals. We want to climb the league table but we also want to help the players grow. Of course we still need to complete the squad before the end of the transfer market. As a club we have quite specific targets, and we're looking to add some players with certain characteristics."
