Gotti: “We played to win”

Following his team’s defeat to Juventus on Sunday, Luca Gotti had this to say to Udinese TV: “I know perfectly well that refereeing is not easy but in that situation the referee was in an ideal position to judge and, in my opinion, it was too flippant a decision. I think we turned in the performance we needed to. We started well both in terms of controlling the ball and in our movements – we scored a nice early goal and then we managed with ease a game in which Juventus didn't seem to be able to worry us. We have lost too many games needlessly, but I think this team really grasps what it’s capable of, because also today there was a feeling that the team was not afraid and that it had the conviction to win this match. That’s how the team has grown most significantly. For what we have done in these 34 games, I would have liked to have a few more points.”
