Udinese Calcio can confirm that Rodrigo De Paul has left the club to join Atletico Madrid on a permanent deal after five seasons in Udine.
The captain in so many of our battles, an exemplary professional and an inspirational leader, you have led your team-mates on and off the pitch in recent years, establishing yourself as a world-class player with Udinese, as shown by how you have become a regular starter for Argentina during your time at our club.
You have always worn the shirt and captain’s armband with pride. You have played with honour and made the Udinese faithful proud, racking up 34 goals and 36 assists in 184 appearances.
We wish you all the very best because you deserve it. We are immensely proud to have played a part in your development as a professional and as a man, and to have joined you on this journey over these five wonderful years together.
