Destiny Udogie is now an Udinese player!

The talented youngster joins from Hellas Verona on an initial loan deal, with an obligation to make the transfer permanent.

A strong, versatile player who can operate on the left of defence or midfield or as a defensive midfielder, Udogie has long been considered one of the most promising young players in Italy.

He was born in Verona on 28 November 2002 and came through the Hellas youth ranks before making his senior debut in a Serie A match against AC Milan at San Siro last season, on 8 November 2020. He went on to make seven appearances in his maiden campaign.

The 18-year-old has played for Italy U16s (2 caps), U17s (15 caps), U19s (4 caps) and U20s (1 cap).

Udogie scored two goals for Italy U17s – both of which proved crucial: a match-winning effort in the 2-1 semi-final win over France at the 2019 Under-17 Euros, and an injury-time winner against Mexico in the group stage of the 2019 Under-17 World Cup.

On behalf of everyone at the club, welcome to Udinese, Destiny!
